Some "bunny's" arriving around October 9th!
That's the big announcement...and then I get tongue-tied.
What does this all mean? I wondered the same thing before I got married. Since that was such an unknown land, I wondered what it would mean to be a wife. Fortunately, married life was a fairly natural transition and now I feel pretty confident in my role as my husband's helpmate.
But motherhood, oh boy, another big transition. While I feel called to become a mother, and God's perfect timing is evident in our situation, it's still a big unknown. It's encouraging that, besides our family, our friends *with* kids offer some of the most enthusiastic congratulations. Somehow they know something that we have yet to experience: the joy and blessing it is to have a child - despite the pain of childbearing and sleepless nights.
We got to hear the heartbeat for the second time yesterday and even scheduled our first ultrasound! The anticipation is killer. I can't wait to know more about this little guy or girl, pick out a name, decorate the nursery, and otherwise prepare for the greatest life-changing experience.
So what do you think, girl or boy? ;-)
Yay! Roomie! So happy for you. :) I'm going to guess girl. :)
ReplyDeleteI'm guessing one big happy baby with very blessed parents!
ReplyDeleteSo excited for you two! What a cute little stuffie as well. =) Hmm... I think I'm going to guess a girl. I hope we have a girl too, then they can be buddies!
ReplyDeleteFirst off, congratulations!!! How exciting - the first ultrasound is really something special :). I'm betting you'll have a boy!
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh, congrats!
ReplyDeleteThank you all for your congratulations! The ultrasound will be here soon - I can't wait to announce the gender!
